At this point in life we have all observed so many things prior to March 2020, when the world closed basically. I have been thinking, praying, and deciding was there an easier way to say what I was feeling or to simply state the obvious. It did not take a global shutdown for me to see what has happened to some of my family, friends, and others all these years. However, the shutdown did bring more attention to the matter when others began to be treated the way some of us have been treated for an awfully long time.
What makes me different? I read! What sets me apart? I believe in God! What makes me unqualified and rejected? Let us talk shall we! It is simple college graduate with Masters, single no kids, not a homeowner, perhaps chose the wrong degree field, and I refuse to imply the obvious of being black and female. It is amazing how demographics truly add up. Oh, and the best thing I feel I have going is my faith!
When we were all sent to our homesteads to be safe, we had some options come our way. My job does not allow me to work from home. There were several companies stating START TODAY, APPLY INSIDE, and yes, they were still looking at certain metrics to qualify and reject you. I will not start with the government programs and stimulus that was to assist. Jury still out and yes, I filed taxes! There was a time some of my friends without children and I would list details about our situations because when it was tax time many babies and welfare seemed to be a better option. We are still without children so perhaps we just viewed life differently.
How does one go through life knowing his/her qualifications only to be rejected on so many levels? There are career opportunities I would love to take yet I have rec’d many letters stating different. There were two homes several years ago I attempted to purchase again rejected. I realized one day after reading 1 Samuel 3, that this was deeper than man metrics of being qualified and rejection. When you are called to do something doors will remain closed to bring you to a point of trusting only Him. He is the one who orders your steps. He is the one who knew you in the womb and what the plan would be all along.
Oh, you thought this was going to be about a man, Corporate America, or something else messier, sorry I can talk about that on a gossip site, lol. God has a way of making you always focus only on Him, yet you must be willing to listen, see, and study to understand. I know my natural and spiritual gifts. I believe I can do anything and will attempt it because of the faith I love to exercise. My nature as a human with hurt like anyone else because I have a hard head sometimes. When God has given you an imperative this season has taught me to JUST DO IT! You are qualified to do many things because God gave you the ability to do so. The rejection is often to protect you because you were not listening to Him from the beginning. Hard things such as funding or an outfit for the day, He can guide those areas if you allow Him.
Therefore, never believe man can hold you back from his little stuff. Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, sounds familiar. Listen to God and allow him to lead you to the things you are qualified for based on Him and how He has set you up NOT to be rejected! Get the job, get the degree, and get into the ministry He has been guiding you to from the start. Stop allowing man to set your boundaries, place you in the box, waiting forever for the mindset to change. Whatever it is that God is calling you to do, you are QUALIFIED. HE is the one who qualifies you. He is the one whose job it is to ensure you fulfill the dream, calling, and use the gifts that He placed inside of you. Go ahead and pursue your God-given dreams. Have faith! Trust Him! You were not meant to be rejected unless it was never in His plan! You are qualified because you are chosen!
Love it!! 💞
