A to Z Grandparents Day Encouragement

2 Timothy 1, remembering the genuine sincere faith passed down through grandparent ( I said grandparent) because I don’t want grandfathers to feel disregarded.
With a number of things on our minds currently (tests, health, funny funds, vacation, dreams, death, 25th Anniversary of 9/11, & other losses we can think of yet we are grateful to be alert and appreciate The Grandparents. Hey, Kayla & I laugh often when I say "OMGOSH, I'm a whole grandma out here 😂!
I want to share something with you and encourage you more. When I found out 4yrs ago that I was going to be a grandmom, grand-mère, or MiM, I was upset because the timing was off (yep, I was like what about the plan)... few days passed and I got a call during an ultrasound visit ohhhhh the tears that flooded my soul. DO know TODAY, Google reminds me more than 2x a week that Kayden who calls me MiMi was doing something according to my phone during this time a year or 4yrs ago. It is amazing how a grandchild can shift your life and thinking. A boy!!! Lord knows my experience was with girls even though my first godchild, now grown is a boy and my first grandchild a boy, I knew girls lol! God has a sense of humor!
My personal womb has NEVER been blessed. Once I turned 40yrs old, seven years ago I looked at life differently regarding children. Let us not become trapped into the idea of age or being biological relatives. Some are blessed to become grandparents out of respect (we are for those who care for us not all relationships are biological). Nevertheless everyone in the blood line from Adam to Christ was a grandparent. To those who have been blessed naturally, flesh of flesh, blood relatives your bond is by many levels and ancestry.
Whichever it is, we are useful to God. We are to show love, kindness, and compassion. Take time to listen and encourage them. We all have roots to trace our lineage. Our roots with our lineage have influenced our relationship to Christ. This influence means we belong to a greater family than mom, dad, granny, and paw paw. It is important for establishing identity and self-esteem. Your family, church, school, & social organization is the place you chose to assist you in navigating this Christian journey as a parent or grandparent. Grandparents please do NOT discount your influence! When your physical strength changes, your prayers and testimony are a powerful weapon and comforting shelter for your family. WATCH this as we become more seasoned.
1 Peter 5:2 says care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly and not grudgingly not for what you will get out of it but because you are eager to serve God. God intended for Family to be a strong source of strength, wealth, knowledge, spiritual insight, and love. If you ever need a true reminder about how vital your role is check out this list I found (also great way to teach the alphabet, thank me later.😉
