I am BACK and must jump right into this!! This last year has revealed so many things about my character, faith, and approach. There was and still is a need for the changes in my life. I always welcome change when others are in charge of it. However, I know for certain other than cutting a person off completely, I do not change necessary things for my life quickly. I found myself discouraged, yet praying and reading the Bible when something happened. What I do know caught up to me differently in 2025, for major changes to occur. The following emotions and concerns even after proper counsel during these key events triggered me, peep this out:
2006 - dad died
2009 - divorced
2013 - thought I met the love of my life
2015 - moved to Nashville
2018 - left Corp America to pursue #ChristianEdFullTime
2020 - first I transitioned from Christian Ed Dir. to Preacher, the World shut down, then I know I loss too many dear loved ones (What about You)
2023 - loss everything literally
2025 - left my 1st career love of hospitality for my passion to teach and in a Christian environment.
Many additional stories can come from those years on another day I never left God yet as a human I wanted my compromises. Why? Because I knew others who had gone through similar and they are living their best lives so it seems. I am just looking. They were not Monica and God was not pleased!
Last March I wrote a Blog titled "Disappointed Differently" . It described much hurt from interviews I was over qualified for, applications denied, and other rejections because I wanted to say it out loud. People feel as if I don't hurt because of the way I carry myself. I am very human and have learned not to respond to everything and tears do not help me as others. Also in March of last year I applied for an Admissions Director position with a private, Christian entity. I was called almost immediately, interviewed, met staff, saw students, and prayed. Within 7-10 days I had an offer for something different and at the same place. I could be a teacher! WHAT? Not certified because the Praxis and I NEVER got along yet Full-time and teach Bible.. SHUT UP!!!! No one had ever told me to consider a private, Christian school entity. I could have done this in Memphis and be near retirement today..........Ohhhh God!!
Fast forward...Here I am in July 2026, many changes have occurred and I am yet holding on. I am preparing to enter my 2nd full year as a Bible teacher to 4th - 6th graders and serve on the Pastoral Care team at the school beyond excited! How do I do it? When watching others and being a social media person is irksome. When you know God has told you your specifics and you just pray, trust, and try to remain patient. When your health fights you at every angle because the imp knows God is keeping you for greater works (the book of Job). My mindset is unique. Don't complain if you are NOT going to do anything about it... Here are a few tidbits and I pray they help you as the courses of this life have helped me.
My Character ~ I have been strong and outgoing since birth if you ask me. My mom jokes sometimes about how I have always had a microphone & not scared of it, how friendly I am, and how I love Christian Ed work since forever, while my faith exceeds mustard seed size. No matter the circumstance I will stand two feet & five toes on my belief in God's promises. My #DaintyPreacher persona, #Regal behavior, & blunt speech keeps me balanced, youthful looking, helpful for people, and before the Lord in prayer. I believe in telling my struggles and smiling because it may assist in bringing others to Christ. I am a true character witness. With the breath still in my body I am encouraged that God has goals left for me to achieve.
My Faith ~ Ooowwweee this can be rough right here! I will not believe in any other God. Yes, my human self gets frustrated with God's timing, understanding His will, & being content with His outcome versus my desires and immediate wants. I am often asked how I remain diligent & calm during such processes. My answer is God has never failed me! He is always timely and I have to be conditioned by Him to accept what He has allowed. The circumstances have not changed yet my perspective has. Take it to the Lord!
My Approach ~ My dad taught many lessons good and bad, lol. The greatest is don't complain continuously and not attempt to make some changes. I have adapted new things in the last 20yrs since he departed with the heaviest being from 2yrs ago. I attempt to remain calm regarding everything after all I pray about it so why not. I smile because it gives me absolute joy not to look like what I am living through. I TWIRL because I am tired of the word pivot and it is more dainty to do so ! I accept the blows, the good, the bumps, bruises, victories, disappointments, backlash, gossip about me, accomplishments, welcome all enemies for Biblical reasons & all because CHAOTIC HABITS ATTRACTING NECESSARY GROWTH ESSENTIALS!!
Change is inevitable! We hear this all the time. While the Bible says the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We as His children must rise to the occasion of when God speaks and just handle the mandate (Micah 6:8, justifies this)! Let us change for better health, greater spiritual living and insight, and generational wealth and bad things to be broken. Our minds must be clear, hearts clean (Psalm 51:10) this will make great sense. This is not too much and will work. Think with truth as time gives clarity and your emotions will become steady for you to live in peace. Learn to change in God’s strength.
Memories are great yet effect change in difficult ways! I started challenging myself with this matter in the last few months because they can lead to bad habits. I love to reminisce about my past life and endeavors, #BIGFun. I have to be true though about God's faithfulness during that time. My highlights of the past were not all of God. Hmmmm, why am I holding on to that C.H.A.N.G.E? Focus with me for a moment going forward on God's word, His promises, the miracles, and how we can overcome difficulty should be the purpose of memories. "You are not in trouble" as a dear friend would remind me. Yet seek the change in God that will keep you happy, hopeful, excited about His will, His way, and His timing. Think of the acronym when you are ready for real changes to occur. There are things that are waiting for YOU! Keep your eyes on Christ and embrace His priorities as your own.
Last and most importantly, sorry not sorry this is NOT about YOU!! As Christians our journey is often to encourage others to come aboard! This is not about fixing yourself! What you are going through right now will become a story to tell of His glory!

Wheeeewwww God! THIS WAS GOODT! And the good fight continues... #stillCHOSEN
THANK YOU FOR SHARING & BEING TRANSPARENT & ALWAYS GRACEFUL 😉♥️😉
